Evan S. Schwartz, a founder of the firm, is known as a highly skilled litigator and strategist in various areas of the law. He is the leader of the firm’s Insurance Litigation, Claims & Consulting Group and Business & Complex Litigation Group. He has a national reputation for his work in the field of Disability Income Insurance, having won countless cases and having been recognized as an authority in various legal journals.
Mr. Schwartz started his legal career as a law clerk at the New York Court of Appeals, New York’s highest court. He previously represented insurance companies and was instrumental in setting legal precedent in the field of insurance law that continues to impact cases today. He has been inducted as a lifetime member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. The Forum acknowledges excellence in advocacy by lawyers throughout the United States and is limited to attorneys who have won multi-million dollar verdicts, awards, and settlements.
Mr. Schwartz is an Adjunct Professor of Insurance Law at Touro Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. He also served as President of the Touro Alumni Association for five years.
Mr. Schwartz received his bachelor’s degree from Boston University and his Juris Doctorate from Touro Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, cum laude, where he was Editor of the Touro Law Review and Recipient American Jurisprudence Awards in Civil Procedure and Federal Courts.
His practice includes all aspects of litigation, consulting, and appeals in the areas of Insurance Litigation and Claims, Disability Income Insurance, Class Actions, and Business & Complex Litigation.
