Newsday conducted a review of the insurance coverage problems encountered by families devastated by Hurricane Sandy. The piece surveyed some of the legal landscape and the many challenges homeowners have faced, from an insurance coverage standpoint.
Evan Schwartz was interviewed for the piece, seeking his insights into the insurance coverage issues involved. He explained some of the insurance policy exclusions that come into play on such claims, and noted the firm’s pro bono work, providing free legal services to a number of families that were in need of help but could not afford to hire a law firm.
